When a girlfriend of mine decided to put together a girl’s trip to Greece, I didn’t know the joy I would get out of that experience. Athens had always been on my bucket list of places to go because of it’s rich culture and history dating as far back as 7000 B.C. As anxious as I was to go, I hadn’t quit gotten the courage to plan it out and simply take the flight. So, when my friend said she was going to plan it, I felt this is was an awesome opportunity to “go across the pond” for the first time with a wonderful group of women. She planned the trip to the T including trips to Athens, Santorini, and Mykonos islands. We were in for a treat. We took a bus tour and a culinary walking tour through Athens. We stayed perched on the rim of an active volcano in Santorini with breath-taking views and ended the trip there with a Caldera Cruise into the sunset. We visited the beautiful beaches of Mykonos island, and we flew back to Athens to tour the the mighty Acropolis on foot to see the glorious Parthenon. This trip was incredible to say the least. Here are a few photos from my experience.
